About Us - Chelveston Renewable Energy – A Renewable Energy Park based in NN9 6XP

Chelveston Renewable Energy Park has developed over the last ten years and continues to be an energy park at the centre of technological innovation. Operational to date on site is a blend of Wind and solar generation with over 85MW of installed capacity. The first phase of a three-year solar build programme is near completion that will deliver 60MW of solar capacity in total for the purpose of generating hydrogen fuel to be used in HGV’s, for on-site battery storage or for export into the National Grid.

Currently Chelveston Renewable Energy Park is home to the following

9 x 125m wind turbines with 25.65MW installed capacity.
Currently 250,000 solar panels on site with 60 MW installed capacity for electrical grid export
Further 150,000 solar panels will add another 60MW installed capacity for Hydrogen Generation and Battery Storage.
80MWh export grid connection.
26MWh import grid connection for back up and reinforcement.
10MW On-Site hydrogen production plant to fuel a fleet converted vehicles.
47 MW Peak Lopping Plant.
20MW Lithium-Ion Battery Store for Load Shifting and Frequency Response.

It is anticipated by 2022 that Chelveston Renewable Energy Park will be capable of producing 175,000 MWh per year. This alone will be capable of powering over 60,000 homes in the local area.
