- In 2013, 9 identical wind turbines were erected at Chelveston. Each turbine stands at 125m to the tip and is capable of generating 2.85MWe. In total, the 9 turbines can generate up to 25.65MW.
- The turbines were designed and erected by General Electric while the foundation design & electrical installation was undertaken by Wykes Engineering.
Why Use Wind Technology?
Powers 20,000 homes
They typically generate 60,000 MWhr per year and can power 20,000 Homes
Round the clock when wind is available
Will continue to generate energy round the clock.
Limitless power
Whilst there is wind there will always be energy produced
