- Chelveston Renewable Energy Park is at the forefront of battery energy storage solutions in the UK. A bespoke 20MW storage facility was permitted by the local authority in 2017 and is currently under construction. The facility will utilise Lithium-Ion battery technology alongside DC-DC conversion to maximise efficiency.
- In addition to this, Chelveston Renewable Energy Park is working with a leading UK Car Manufacturer to pilot renewable Second Life Car Battery Technology. Once batteries are unsuitable to be used in Vehicles they still have valuable storage capacity and can be used again alongside solar arrays. Chelveston Renewable Energy Park is in the first phase of testing the technology and hopes to drive the market moving forward.
